Here's one of the last sneakers I worked on, the Suva model for Sifika. The design and sampling process was done all via email, which was a little frustrating as some of the sublities got lost in translation resulting in model that didn't have the finished silhouette I was looking for. There is not substitute for visiting the factory during the process to get the finished product you are looking for. It's a little old now, but I would love to work again on sneakers.

Last year I worked on this piece 6 months ago over the frustration at the seeming ineffectual President Obama. Things just seem to carry on the same as before, war is still going on and no visionary ideas or leadership. In this piece I paid homage to Shepard Fairey's famous poster which to offered us Hope, but now Obama is settled into office I see hope has peeled off to revel status quo was there all along. Eshe is producing a limited run in their 2010 Winter collection.

I have just found Fresh Jive had a similar idea and have just released their take on this iconic poster as well. Snap, weird coincidence.
